This beautiful stretch of water lies between the mainland of Tasmania and Bruny Island. I took these photos from the side of the road - somewhere between Verona Sands and Gordon.

Sandy Bay

Ice

On the Channel Highway at 10.30am on a winter morning, there was quite a bit of ice on the road.

Penitentiary Chapel

One of Hobart's many historic sites, the Penitentiary Chapel was built in the 1830s. The chapel is located on the corner of Brisbane and Campbell Streets and it is just a short walk there from the city centre.
Standing in the carpark outside Officeworks, this is the view to Mt Wellington, with the chapel on the left.
